Behavioral and Social Research Guide to Grants at the NIH |
An Electronic News Service
Sponsored by:
Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research
National Institutes of Health
-
The NIH Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR) provides an e-mail service for announcing NIH funding
opportunities in the behavioral and social sciences. Once or twice a month, OBSSR distributes via e-mail a listing (with hyperlinks)
of recent funding announcements (Program Announcements, Requests for Applications, Notices) published in the
NIH Guide to Grants and Contracts.
The archive of past issues is posted at
http://list.nih.gov/archives/bssr-guide-l.html
To receive these periodic (about every four to six weeks) announcements, please join the special listserv. Only one e-mail
message is needed to take advantage of this service. (And we promise you won't be deluged with messages.)
Send an e-mail message to:
- listserv@list.nih.gov
- The message should read SUBscribe BSSR-Guide-L [your full name]. The message is case sensitive; so capitalize as indicated! Don't
include the brackets.
For example, for Robin Smith to subscribe, the message would read SUBscribe BSSR-Guide-L Robin Smith
- The subject line should be blank.
You will receive back an acknowledgement of your subscription that will also provide instructions on how to unsubscribe from the list.
-
How do I remove my name from the mailing list?
You may leave the list at any time by sending an e-mail message to:
- Who can post messages to this listserv?
This is a distribution list only. Consequently, you will receive messages only from the NIH list manager.
-
Can I see messages posted before I joined the list?
The NIH maintains an archive of all messages distributed to the list in the past 12 months. Go to
http://list.nih.gov/archives/bssr-guide-l.html or send e-mail commands:
- You can get a list of the available archive files by sending an INDEX BSSR-GUIDE-L command to
LISTSERV@LIST.NIH.GOV.
You can then order these files with a GET BSSR-GUIDE-L LOGxxxx command, or using LISTSERV's
database search facilities. Send an INFO DATABASE command for more information on the latter.
- This list is available in digest form. If you wish to receive the digested version of the postings, just issue a SET BSSR-GUIDE-L DIGEST command.
- Where can I get information about how to write a grant?
Links to NIH Institutes and tips on preparing NIH grants.
- Whom should I contact for more information?
