The Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR) distributes the OBSSR Connector Monthly Newsletter, which features information about behavioral and social sciences in the news, important events and announcements, new funding opportunities, and other updates. In the monthly Director’s Voice Blog, the OBSSR Director discusses timely topics related to behavioral and social sciences research (BSSR). Interesting findings from recently published BSSR are highlighted each month in the Research Spotlights Blog, and you can find major OBSSR and NIH news and announcements on the BSSR News page.

Events

The OBSSR hosts virtual and in-person meetings that highlight BSSR. In coordination with the NIH Institutes, Centers, and Offices, other government agencies, and the wider BSSR community, OBSSR facilitates opportunities to network, collaborate, explore, and advance BSSR.

OBSSR hosts a Director’s Webinar Series on a variety of BSSR topics to help communicate BSSR findings and other relevant BSSR information. OBSSR’s annual in-person meetings include the NIH Matilda White Riley Behavioral and Social Sciences Honors and the NIH Behavioral and Social Sciences Research Festival.

OBSSR also hosts online training resources, including the Good Clinical Practice for Social and Behavioral Research eLearning Course, the Training in Advanced Data Analytics for Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (TADA-BSSR) Webinar Series, and Methodology Seminars and Workshops.
